Since 2009, Sanrai Charitable foundation has been assisting these patients in as many ways as possible. Water, fresh fruits, and sometimes entire meals are cooked, brought and distributed. Further, patients who are unable to cover the cost of their prescriptions are brought to a nearby pharmacy where the cost is covered by Sanrai. Finally, the financial burden of a variety of procedures including cancer treatment, long term wound care, and dialysis are taken on by the foundation. Having a presence in this PGI Sarai since 2009 has led to an intimate exposure of the conditions present throughout India and keeps us inspired and motivated to not only persist in our mission, but to also strive to do more.
